Enjoy a delicious 90-minute session of Restorative Yoga postures, each one preparing your body to sink into a deeper state of relaxation and helping you discover new ways to gently release residual tension in your body and mind. Following class, we will gather in our community space and our taste buds will come alive as Kim guides us through a fun journey into the magic and mystery of sparkling wines. Chocolates and strawberries will be available to further enhance your sensory experience. Please join us as we relax and connect with yoga friends who are fans of the Bubbly! Learn to Meditate with Ruth Heal

Ruth Heal has personally experienced the transformative and life-enhancing benefits of Yoga and Meditation.

After moving to the United States five years ago, Ruth experienced depression and home-sickness.  Yoga and meditation reconnected her with her sense of inner peace amd essential wholeness.  Joy and enthusiasm for life returned with renenwed intensity.  Ruth is committed to regular practice of Yoga and Meditation, and sharing these practices with others.  Ruth is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, is currently taking part in the Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation traning at Spirt Rock and is trained in Life Force Yoga to Beat the Blues.

Join Ruth Heal for four Thursday sessions and learn the basics of creating a meditation practice. Class will begin with a yoga warm up to get the body stretched out and ready to sit and then Ruth will guide you through a meditation technique.

Yoga meets Classical Ballet in this fun movement class with Krissy Marchus. Strengthen your core, challenge your balance and get a great workout with a mini-ballet class and then grab a mat and relax with the perfect follow-up yoga postures.


Krissy Marchus is a graduate of Yoga Programs Teacher Training, has a BFA from Boston Conservatory and an MA from U.C.L.A. She is on the faculty of Santa Rosa Junior College and has been teaching children and adults for over 10 years. Krissy has studied extensively with Shiva Rea, Anne O'Brien, Ramaia Collins and has attended the Primary Series workshop with Sri Patabhi Jois.


Krissy brings her background in dance into her vinyasa style of yoga emphasizing alignment and flowing breath. She nurtures her students along with a sense of humor that makes class for any age fun and challenging. Krissy believes in the healing and empowering practice of yoga to transform and enlighten from the inside out.

 

 

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM THROUGH YOGA

A workshop with Dinndayal Morgan & Doug O’Brien,
Yoga is more than an exercise; it involves the movement of energy and the release of toxic or stuck emotions. Learn what your emotional tendencies are and practical methods of releasing stuck energy and emotions. This workshop includes both lectures on the concepts and practical exercises to help you understand your personal tendencies and ways to release hidden emotional trauma.

Douglas O’Brien,

, Director and Founder of Pathfinder Institute, School of Alternative Living. Ordained Swami in Kriya Yoga System, Professor of Martial Science, Movement Psychology, Five Rings and Stress Response Training has over 41 years of experience including seminars, workshops, recovery centers and private classes with adults and youth. He is the author of numerous books and articles including, Lone Wolf: In the Company of Fools and Mystics, Self Esteem Through Elemental Movement Re-Education, Poetic Thoughts From the Sea of Life and co-author of Yoga Heart Meditative Movement. He has also been published in Inside Kung Fu Magazine, Journal of International Association of Yoga Therapists Abstracts and profiled in the West County Times. In 1998 he was awarded the Peacemaker's Award by the Center for Human Development and the U.S. House Of Representatives for his work with teens in anger management and violence prevention.

Restorative yoga is a passive practice characterized by deep, long-held postures. The class incorporates practices that promote stress reduction, deep relaxation, immune system support, and improved sleep patterns.

NEW: Hatha Flow Level 2-3

Join Beth Lambert for a dynamic Hatha Flow class on a new night and time! Hatha yoga is the most commonly practiced branch of yoga in America, and it is a highly developed system of nearly 200 physical postures, movements and breathing techniques designed to tune the body to its optimal health. A "flow" class means that postures are strung together without interruption or breaks between postures.
